The Degroof Petercam group gave birth to the project Gingo, from which Better evolved (or the better version). Gingo is a platform created in 2016 with the goal of leveraging crowdfunding for philanthropy. In 2021, Gingo celebrated its 5th anniversary and had raised 1 million euros. It was time to strengthen the project and aim for even greater impact. This is the origin of the Better project.
We have no links with KBC except that Better was selected by the startup accelerator Start it @KBC. This accelerator is "a place where young entrepreneurs meet and can learn, build a network and thrive, create their own company from scratch with all the required knowledge" (www.kbcbrussels.be).

Greenwashing or "écoblanchiment" refers to the "fallacious use of arguments that claim good ecological practices in marketing or communication operations" (Larousse online). Better, on the other hand, chooses its words carefully and does not wish to deceive its subscribers about its objectives or activities.
First, the discovery. By the end of the year, you will have discovered 12 organizations that are active in areas that are important to you.
Next, the continuity. Better is a commitment that, if you wish, extends over time. The continuity of your commitment, combined with that of other subscribers, allows organizations to benefit from regular donations.

We hope in the long term to rely on a range of associations broad enough to cover the spectrum from systemic to urgent.
