Teach for Belgium
By training inspiring future teachers, Teach for Belgium aims to facilitate entry into the profession and fight against educational inequalities.
Support Teach for Belgium
With 34% of 15-year-old students having repeated a grade, Belgium turns out to be the country with the highest rate of grade repetition within the OECD. Additionally, the level of inequality between so-called "privileged" and "underprivileged" social classes is among the highest in Europe. This situation is made worse by a significant shortage of teachers, with an attrition rate of 44% within the first five years of teaching.
Teach for Belgium mobilizes, selects, trains and supports committed individuals who wish to serve as teachers in the country's most disadvantaged secondary schools.
In partnership with its alumni network and educational partners, Teach for Belgium offers a training program for future teachers, based on conceptual frameworks, best practices, and concrete tools aimed at enhancing both student learning outcomes and teacher resilience.
Key figures
