Schola ULB
With the Tutoring program, Schola ULB offers free academic support to young people from Brussels who are struggling.
Support Schola ULB
According to the 2021 Well-being Barometer, in Brussels, 1 in 10 young people leave secondary education without a diploma. And 34% of 15-year-olds have repeated a grade at least once (the highest percentage of all OECD countries).
Facing these challenges, the non-profit organization Schola ULB promotes equal opportunities in education and values the commitment of youth to help one another. Thanks to the Tutoring Program, active since 1989, student-tutors, supportive and committed, assist Brussels students struggling academically and help them to regain an appreciation for school and learning. As true role models, they broaden the students' future perspectives and restore their confidence in the success of their educational journey.
Key figures
Schola ULB in 2023, that's more than 3,000 students supported per year within 130 partner establishments, 93% of satisfied students and 500 student tutors mobilized on average per semester.
